Water for Life Well Fund
Last year you gave an amazing £1400 to Water for Life towards a deep well in Bugwema, a village without water in Tanzania. Now there is a total of £7,500 and the work has started on the well, so a BIG thank you for your generosity.
In this picture you can see Magdalen Maguire, our Educational Psychologist, with Naid. Soon she will have clean safe water, thanks to the generosity of so many families in Bradford.
This year Magdalen is continuing her work with the Water for Life charity (reg no. 1100059) to raise £8,000 to fund a well for Bwasi, a village without water in Mara Province, in Tanzania.
Having a well would mean so much to the village. At the moment, the women of the village must crouch in a hole in the ground for two hours, collecting water drop by drop for the family from a slow spring.
Heaton St Barnabas’ CE Primary School is supporting this project through donations from our International Week non-uniform day on Friday 14th July. Proceeds for the non-uniform day will be shared between supporting the International Week activities the children have enjoyed this week and supporting the Water for Life Well Fund in Bwasi.
