Ofsted inspectors describe Heaton St Barnabas as a ‘friendly, inclusive school’
Diane Smith, Head of Heaton St Barnabas
OFSTED inspectors have praised a Bradford school for being a place where “children become part of a community of care and respect.”
Inspectors recently visited Heaton St Barnabas Primary school for the first time since it was judged ‘good’ in 2014.
In a letter to head Diane Smith (pictured) inspectors said the Church of England school had maintained its good rating.
It adds: “You have established stronger relationships with parents and carers.
“The promotion of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, and pupils’ preparation for life in modern Britain, are particular strengths.
“You have created a friendly, inclusive school, where children become part of a community of care and respect.”
Inspectors did, however, point out that too many parents took their children on extended visits abroad without permission.<< Back to News
